2019 : No Excuses

I am returning to this blog after many years of not using it.
This is partly because I miss blogging and hope to do it again.
I don't have the face to do vlogs nor the patience to edit videos.
I would most likely just be posting about daily things and it would be unbelievably boring.
But yeah. I am really back.

This year my POWER PHRASE is NO EXCUSES

It is hard to choose this pair of words because I think I am the laziest person that I know.
BUT for 2019, I want to do many things and there are just no more room for excuses.
I am going to be 35 in 2019 and I won't think I should live in a way that is not sustainable for me.

So there are a few things I want to do this year. No pressure to finish them all but no excuses not to try either.

#NoExcuses1 : VITA+ my life

I want to join the VitaACE team. 

I got a great opportunity with some people. So I am saving up for a chance to be a part of that group.
Even if I am not in the first 30, I will save to get the money for it.

#NoExcuses2 : Say Bye to 20KG 

I want to lose weight and I think the best I can do would be 10 to 20 kilograms.

I will start with stretching first then move on to actual exercises. I haven't done any actual exercise in YEARS. So I have to take it one step at a time. I did my first stretching in years this morning. It was hard. I used to do it so easily when I was a varsity player so I regret not doing it continuously after high school. I could have kept my health problems at bay and kept my slim body if I did.

#NoExcuses3 : ERDR - Eat Right, Drink Right!

I want to eat right and drink right. 

I don't drink alcohol anymore since getting GERD but I have yet to eat right. I want to switch to better and fresh food. This means I have to learn how to cook them. I am helpless on this front so I have to make an effort to learn. I live alone now so I can cook in my place and no one would know if I sucked or not. I have to give up regular soda for some other options life Life Cola. If I am going to make juices, I hope I can keep up to just drinking VitaPlus juices. My mom said she likes the guyabano flavor. As for me, I want to try all the flavors and see which one is my favorite.
It's not about going on one of those trendy diet that actually works on others. It's more on changing my relationship with food and cooking. I need to learn how to cook to eat the food I want without having to be subjected to other people's recipes that are often too high on sodium and other bad stuff.

#NoExcuses4 : Side Dishes Jjang!

I want to learn how to make at least five Korean banchan.

This is going to be really hard but I hope that I can make it. So that I would be able to get things going. I hope to buy a ref in the future so I can store them longer. But for now, I would put it in a cooler so I can it them within two days at least. I won't be making big portions since I live by myself. The ones in the Korean stores are just too expensive for me to buy on a regular basis. If I can learn how to make some of them, that would give me enough confidence to try the more complicated dishes. I have ZERO cooking skills and I can barely make an omelet. Most of the stuff I make ends up looking like a jeon. So I guess I have one side dish down.

#NoExcuses5: WritoNoExcuso

I want to write more and not be lazy on my deadlines.
I won't be returning to Fiverr since I realized that it really isn't my style. I would focus on things on Essays.ph and fiction writing.
I want to finish a story to send to PHR this year. No matter what happens, rejection or not, I just want to e-mail them one manuscript.

I am in no way the cafe-writer that some are. I need to have my own noisy space to write and talk out loud. I would often say the lines my characters say so it's not a good idea to pop open my archaic laptop in a cafe and write there pretentiously.

#NoExcuses6 : Pay Yes Swipe No!

I want to clean up my credit. Even from Mombank.

I need to pay off my phone. Then I want to buy a new laptop. I really need one for writing and work.
I should limit myself to Pentagon and Blackpink related expenses for this year. Or at the very least YG & Pentagon related expenses. For the rest, I won't even bother.

#NoExcuses7:  SHOW ME THE SHOW MONEY!

I want to save money for my show money for South Korea. 
I heard it's a bit much so I should work hard for that.

#NoExcuses8: KPOPforACause 

I want to do birthday charity work and prepare for the Pentagon 3rd Anniversary properly. I would be setting aside money for those things.

#NoExcuses9 : Paymaya Karduh!

I need to get a physical Paymaya Card. I will use it more this year and hopefully switch my paypal to be connected to my paymaya instead of the sup cc I have right now.

I know what you are thinking, why get rid of my sup cc when I have it? It's not helping me control my spending. But with PayMaya I have to put money on my account for the card to work, even for online shopping. 

For the most part I would be using this for Fanmaum charity projects. 

#NoExcuses10: LEGIT Universe!

I need to get my fancafe account to associate member again in the Pentagon Fancafe. I already got the first and second official membership card (the second one is coming soon). I have been downgraded to regular member from associate member due to the issues from last year and was too lazy to get it verified again. So I will be doing that with my Thumbs Up! Album before it is too late.

This was the first Universe membership kit had in it.
I still hate the thief who took my photobook.
May you rot in the darkest part of the universe.

#NoExcuses11: Bonus for Eomma

I want to give my bonus to my mom not to pay off something but just really just give it to her to spend on whatever she wants.
I have been giving her my bonus for a couple of years now but mostly to pay off my sup cc debt.

I am doing the #365 photos thing on IG so I can post more about the things I do and see. I am not dating anyone right now so there won't be any weird lovestagram things there. My IG is synced with my Facebook while my FB sends my public posts on Twitter. But since IG is posted on FB as private it might not get synced to Twitter. But doesn't matter. I rarely check my Twitter account anyway.

It started with Familia posts #1of365 and would move on to the rest of the year. Even if I can't post them on the actual day, I hope to take daily photos making every single day. I don't want 2019 to pass without me knowing that the heck I went through. It's something for old me to look back on when I am forgetful and nostalgic. So be prepared to see a lot of GOLDEN PIG me (although I am an OX) this year! Follow me on IG - pinaywriter. As for Facebook, I still don't add people but the follow button should be available. I hope that I can continue to blog and write about my life in this blog. I don't want to let it go and I don't think I can ever forget the memories I had as a blogger. So since I can't move on to other modes, being RETRO is not such a bad thing.

I hope we all have a wonderful 2019!

Am I Back?

I miss writing on a blog. So I think I would go back to this. I am not sure if this is connected to anything else on my not so active facebook.
But yeah. Need to write more. So I wouldn't get too caught up in other things.
I can't keep an offline diary so I think it's a pretty good idea to go back to blogging, even just to remind me that something is going on in my life.

So where am I now. 80+ Kg. 31 going on 32 and single?
Still struggling in adulting despite the earnest support of friends. ^^
Still haven't finished a single Nanowrimo event successfully but haven't stopped joining. I keep telling myself I will do it next year more diligently. But yeah. November is MAMA season so that never actually comes to fruition.

I had a couple of crushes since my last post.
And that is significant since it's hard to get a crush these days, for fanjuhmas like me. (fan + ahjuhma) But still no Great Love Numero Dos. So in transition for that.

I am still gravely delayed in terms of my Kdrama level but there has been some really cool stuff coming out and I enjoy reading spoilers about them. I watch when I have time to download and stream.

I am into a new KPOP group called Pentagon and joined Black Pink Philippines to support Lisa and the gals. Then we merged Pentagon PH and Pentagon Philippines to support Hongseok and the other members of Pentagon.
Currently Pentagon is nominated in the Best New Male Artist category in MAMA and in last place. They debuted in October so that is pretty understandable. But as for Black Pink they are doing well, nominated in Best New Female Artist category in MAMA and doing well in voting and digital sales. Pentagon has 7 songs in their self-title mini album and Gorilla as their official debut MV while Black Pink has four songs and four MVs. They did well in their digital but IOI has an album out and that worries me.

I went to the Big Bang Made Tour in Manila concert with BGPH minus Dawn. I missed Lee Hi's fanconcert. I went to Epik High's concert by winning a consulation ticket GA and got a high touch and a photo op because my friend Leah from BJBS, iKON Philippines Red and now BPPH, won an FB event for the high touch.
Winner is on hiatus because of Nammie's condition. Bobby and Mino did a collaboration MOBB and made two songs.

Kpop Look-A-like season is killing me. Making me laugh and making me angry so early when I wake up at noon. (that is my morning bite me). But all in all I have been having fun. I don't go to all the events like most people think I do. And I don't always need to pay my way to their events since some events are free. But I can't go to two events in a row now. My body can't take it. I always need one day off after I go to an event. So I missed YG Fest 2 this year. November is packed with events. I am going to attend Fandom Fest on Nov 13 since I have a slam poetry entry ^^ New goals : Perform poetry on stage and not faint due to stage fright. ^^ Which reminds me, I have to memorize that poem.

So still living with Trina (she hasn't kicked my slob ass yet) and entering 2nd year of "living with a human" self-development project. I have to reach my 3rd year with some improvement. I went overboard with my supplies shopping last Sunday, almost gave my mom HB. She asked me if I bought a ticket with that money so I ended up taking a photo of the stuff I bought for her to know that I actually bought food.

Oh I went to SM Bacoor by myself last Saturday for K-Town. Yes, I almost got lost. But it was cool. I had fun.

There are so many videos and photos I haven't uploaded. I hope that when I get back home in Nov 27, I would have more time to upload everything. ^^ So much for me being a good fansite noona.

Oh my dongsaengs PHP won in the Fil-Kor Kpop Contest last Oct 15 in CCP. Then Kim Jo had to go back to Hawaii. #PHP1stWin. He performed with Hergie King, JP Soliva, and Charles (the other half of Bishop with Jo Kim) #proudnoona moments.

And ACES lost their leader and KSY so Ken B joined ACES. They debuted as a revamped unit in YGFest 2 which I missed because I am old af and was tired from K-TOWN and the Cavite to Guadalupe travel. I didn't get to sleep before I went to the event so I was sick by the time I got back home Saturday night. Note to self: Do not overdo it.

Some friends got married, divorced then now re-marrying. Some friends lost special someones and some are married, yey. Me, still single and not worried about my lovelife. I just hope love will me before I am 80.

Am I happy? Yes. Am I still not ambitious? Yes. But I am forming new dreams and revisiting old ones that are now more in tune with what I want to do.

Am I challenging myself? I think I haven't been doing this and I need to take on more money-making challenges. No more time for freebies and need to use every moment I have into something productive. Productive not just for my feels but for my pocket.

My Twin Brother from another Mother

Apparently, he found my blog I MISS JAN. Since he doesn't know that I made a public service announcement on FB (he doesn't have one) he didn't know that a lot of humans actually replied to my post. ^..^

Oh well. I can't find that post now so never mind. ^..^
It's weird that I had this Pinaywriter spidey sense to check on my emails or phone when an important message is there. Kekeke. I have been busy lately that I have been ignoring my emails constantly.

I am glad he found me. I already gave him all of my sns and cp info. ^..^ And people did look for him. He's just a ninja. Or I am just bad at googling people. I mean seriously I studied skip tracing. But I am so forgetful I don't know anything to use to search for him.

Apparently he's well and he's going to be working in a company. ^..^
I told him I am a fatass now. And all that. I am still waiting for his reply. And I will keep begging him to get a FB account together.

Seriously, how much do you have to hate Mark Z?

I wanna show him the pictures my Korean Student sent me of her trip to Google. ^..^

And this concludes the search for my Gemini Kambal. If only I can find a version of him I can rape and who also likes KPOP. We are like siblings and he my oppa from a different eomma. <3

Si Sandara Park at the 2NE1+8th Bday ko

Si Sandara Park trended worldwide without even a need for a hashtag.
2ne1 is coming this week. Dara will be in Gandang Gabi Vice and will visit Kuya at the PBB house.

Prior to the announcement some haters of Sandara as well as some bitter fans using the sly excuse "We pay to see her the housemates have no right to see her for free" card using the #saynotodaraonPBB hashtag and trended it. I personally made sure I unfriended the ones that I saw use this hashtag on FB. Unfortunately I was not able to catch all those who used this on my twitter account. I was busy at work so I wasn't able to catch their shit.

It's a big slap for those who trended that they didn't want her to go in. It's already well-known that Dara has a soft spot for the Philippines. She'll all but a Filipina by blood. She talks about the country as her second home. She put the country in YG's radar after getting noticed in a feature made for her. And that's been the start.

Now coming back for the continuation of THE Party for an even bigger NOLJA event, Dara remains the Krungkrung we love but just a tad bit more than that. She's gotten love, hate, support and training in love, life and in the Entertainment world. She came back with her sisters from another mother Chaerin Lee (the other half of CHAERA a one true pairing for the two women who are super close, Bom Park SsangPark/Double Park's other Park and Minzy, 2ne1's beloved eromaknae.

I for one can't wait to see her onstage. I won't be going to the hotel, airport or the mall tour. I am not a fansite noona/eonnie. I will be there in the VIP Standing screaming my heart out. I will call go POPPED on some people and let them call me when the concert is ongoing so they can listen to a song. ^.^ But that is if I can get a power bank. If not then I won't. T_T; 

Nevertheless, this MAY is epic. I won a WIN Epilogue from Kenny AKM YG Fanboys are <3
It's still in Pasig Central Post office. I haven't picked it up because I haven't had a free weekend. I am planning to go there on the May 18th after AON. So stay tuned for that. I already got the poster for the giveaway. *weird that they sent me that and not the dvd* anyway.

This is going to be my last month as a 28 year old and will also mark my last year as a woman in her 20's. And having all this much feels for my birthday month has been unbelievably great.

Also I found my bestie. He saw my I MISS JAN blog entry and he emailed me today. I can email him now. yey~ I should memorize his email. He still doesn't want to make a FB account. Tsss. Anyway. I hope I can contact him more often from now on. So happy for this May. <3

I will try to blog more that I have hooked up my kpop gmail to this blog. So forgive me if I KPOP all over your feeds.

There are no words I can write that would be enough to show how sad this news is. I hope that the survivors will be fine. I hope that the media is not covering anything up. I hope that the missing passengers got out and will get rescued.

Please. Kpop fan or not. Kdrama fan or hater, it is our human obligation to offer at least one prayer for those who are there, those who are lost and those who have moved on to the Lord's welcoming arms.

Always there are heroes to be told. And there is a young man who was supposed to be enjoying his birthday in Jeju Island with his classmates to have a memory he would cherish for a lifetime. Instead he is dead. But the lives he saved would live on for him, would carry his bravery for him and tell the world, each and every person they encounter, that there was once a class president unlike any other, a chingu who was brave and would have made an upstanding member of society had it not be for April 15, 2014.

My deepest condolences and my prayers goes out to the people affected and the nation awashed in grief.
I hope politicians use this time to make their party seem better than the current administration's because people are definitely going to eat them alive if they did.

Second Life taking over

So I made a kpop spazz account. It's currently in RP mode for RapMonster. Originally I was going to use it to RP Seunghyun Choi's assassin character from IRIS. But I got lazy so I used it as Pinaywriter Choi instead. Now It's Namjoonie Saranghe. If you don't know who he is, don't bother. You are probably in my Pinaywriter Simone Simon account. And you are not a kpop fan. So I have ALMOST cleared out my original account of the KPOP people. Some are still there, the people who I want to see my IG post and those who I can't remove or transfer over because for the life of me, I don't know if they are from my second life in KPOP or they are part of my writing group.

On that note. I have been remiss on my job as the EIC. Again. *insert excuses here* But the spazzing on my RP account is not to be used as a sample that I have a lot of time on my hand. I don't. I usually have it open so I can scoop people out from my second life to work for my current company.

About that. I am now officially the Group leader for Team Mojo-jojo. Yes. Of course my team has the villain name. Because I am such an evil person. Kekeke. I have 5 people under my supervision. May the gods have mercy on their souls. So far so good. But it's an adjustment because I have two modes, DGAF mode and OCD mode. So imagine the adjustment my team would have to experience.

I know I should check my other facebook account more often. Before I know it more weddings would pass me by and more babies would be missed to coo at.

But I am happy I am able to compartmentalize now. I can unleash my crazy spazz self on one and I can keep my nonkpop friends away from my craziness.

But I am still writing. Unfortunately, it's work books. So yeah.
I still prefer this that doing something I am not good at and not happy about. It's not work if you enjoy what you are doing.

So on that note. I think I should blog more. Since life is not so boring these days.

Though the wildest thing I have done these days is have a Buin (wifey) on my roleplayer Facebook account.
People really think I am a guy. Seriously. T_T

Anyway. It's fun so I will leave it as is.

I still need to buy a gift for the TOP photo winner since the book I bought turned out to have a part 3. Killmenao. I hope I find balance soon.

But definitely as of April 3, my creativity is definitely being redirected to work and kpop. I just need to make sure I balance it out and include TOP and fiction writing again.

Oh and I have 4k emails on my pinaywriter gmail. Fick me.

BLACKJACKS ARE HOME

2NE1 known as force that does it's best to reinvent itself calls to their fans to start a revolution against the accepted Virtual Paradise in their latest music video.

A lot awaited comeback has burst forth with a new stage for 2ne1 who just finished the second day of their All or Nothing WORLD tour.

Blackjacks, as their fans are called, have been trolled by YGE CEO, Yang Hyun Suk so many times that fans are not sure when the MVs for COME BACK HOME, as well as the promised three other MVs (another 1 for Come Back Home, 1 for Gotta Be You and 1 for Happy) would come out.

But after a few days of delay, and perhaps some media play on the part of the CEOs, the comeback was pulled off, two concert dates are behind them, a crazy after party was staged and they have managed to deliver two MVs for their fans to feast on.

Dates for the next concert stops have been set and fans all around the world are either anticipating purchasing their tickets or hoping their blackjack counterparts would be nice enough to post as many fancams as they can risk to post.

CRUSH has hit roofs of major charts and their songs competed with each other to take #1. They have managed to get into not only the POP charts but the MAIN charts internationally making them in the league of digital queens Sistar, who was the only other Korean female group that was able to do that thus far.

The details of the album success is everywhere and that is not what I am really going to blog about.

Since I can't do a reaction video (I do not want to subject you guys to my mug) I would make a reaction blog.

The MATRIX is one of those very few movies that made me come out of the house and want to look around for deja vu. So seeing that the concept of virtual reality being placed in this MV brought back memories of this beloved movie. Then there is that movie Surrogates where everyone lived in their homes and they lived in their "perfect" version in the real world. The sci-fi concept was spot on.

Fierce as they are, 2ne1 presented themselves as a group of rebels against what has become a norm in a world full of fake realities.

Dara's beloved is trapped in a virtual life where he is happy with her and there is no misery and she frees him from it even if it cost him his life.

Minzy and Bom prepare the bomb that would destroy the institution that made the so called paradise. CL is their fearless leader of course. What else would she be?

I can understand why the graphics took a while to make. This MV took a while to make, graphics-wise. At the very least it didn't look like it was rushed at all. The fact is, if a person like me who edits videos with normal programs can IDENTIFY what kind of edits were done on your idol's MV. Then it means it was done haphazardly. Because the whole point is to be able to distract us from that.

The song itself is a strong one and the music video  just proved that 2ne1 is back and ready to break all the parameters set up for a female group. This is a music video that even nonKPOP fans would understand and LIKE.

I have mentioned before that I am a fan of MVs with a story and this was definitely one of those.

YG, I forgive you for trolling us for so long.

The show SEX and the CITY was something that I loved for years. I still do. And the fact that there are four members of 2ne1 just leaves me with giddy feels.

Dara is the Charlotte of the group. CL is Samantha, in her fierce fashion and blondness. Bom is Carrie and Minzy is Miranda. Their group doesn't need to act to look like they get along. I am sure that the making video would show NGs because they were just having way too much fun to pay attention.

I love how fresh this video is. And the fact that it was done a couple of years ago is just uncanny. Because their beauty has not faded since. They are even more beautiful now. I think LOVE has something to do with it.

The fact that four independent women (Minzy just became of age this year) are in such a colorful video, with Jeremy Scott, no less, made me happy.

Happy kinda of reminded me of a CF for a communication app like Line and Kakao beacause of the graphics. But it was cute without trying too hard.

In the end it's all about the fans and it's all about the music. So views or no views, haters or no haters, I am happy YG didn't troll us this time around.

YG EXPLAINS WHY VIRTUAL WORLD GETS DESTROYED IN 2NE1′S “COME BACK HOME” MV....

“The MV of “COME BACK HOME” is set in a near-future city, and the concept is that people in this era prefer the virtual world over the real one, just like the movie ‘Matrix’.”

“These days when people meet they look into the screens of their phones instead of having a conversation, which shows an addiction to cell phones and games. I think this behavior demonstrates that people like the virtual world. Even at playgrounds kids play with cell phones, and this will worsen in the future and people will be more enthusiastic about the virtual world than the real one.”

He continued, “In the MV of ‘COME BACK HOME,’ DARA is heartbroken by a man she is in love with, as he prefers the virtual world. For these reasons, the four members of 2NE1, DARA, CL, BOM and MINZY enter the virtual world themselves and turn into warriors to destroy that world. Through this, we tried to convey the message of how important the real world is, and about the human touch.”

He also explained why he leaned toward a music drama rather than a MV filled with choreographic scenes.

He said, “2NE1’s MVs were mainly choreographic ones until now, so we wanted to try something new. We wanted to invest our time and money in the computer graphic work, which ended up in a 500 million won budget.”
