Two cents on UNHATE : Benetton Campaign

UNHATE campaign

I talk to Korean students about issues regarding the relationship between North and South Korea. If I was a Korean and I saw this poster, I would probably be shocked. It's clearly an advertisement but I don't know how people would react to it. We are not always in the position to dictate how people outta feel about their neighbors.

I am all for love and peace. But the imagery, as controversial as it is, is not going to inspire people to unhate. *just saying my honest opinion here, you have to let me finish first though* The message was clear, two sides who have enough reason to hate each other or are in opposite sides of issues most of the time are kissing.

*stops to think* *shakes head* Too shocking to have any lasting effects except. *close window*

But honestly, if there are those can be moved by ads like this, then the world might be a little better for it. But I honestly don't think any North Koreans would look at this picture and not go "Anniyo!"

Seriously.

  5. There are a lot of issues that they are trying to resolve. But North Korea keeps bombing SK and attacking and the latter keeps sending propaganda against NK. It's a vicious cycle.

  6. I know this a controversial ad campaign but the Vatican will sue everyone using the same ad where the Pope kisses an Imam. Thanks for this post.
